Grant Us Spring

I wrote this while I was... er, doing Logic today =P I was outside (obviously) and it was, as you know, a most delicious day. I couldn't let that chance go to waste...

Cup this day in your hands
Don't let it escape, save it for a rainy day
It feels like a bonnie day in May
But the rain hasn't come, there remains dry lands

I dream of flip-flopped feet
And fresh squeezed lemonade
Long hiking trips to be made
For summer we will happily greet

Lord, grant us spring, grant us summer
Soon, please, or it sure will be a bummer
For a spring tease we have tasted
Our hopes for days like this one
I hope, are not to be wasted
