Wreaking of Rampion, such a terrible wretch
Streaks of misery, starving for the illicit supplement
Begging for another bountiful bouquet
The faithful father went much too far
Slinking to snatch the forbidden sweet

A wanton witch punished the offense
With a promise to pension, to please the old hag
The child in exchange for the charming green leaves
Given at birth, she grew to be gorgeous
Jealousy devoured the Jade's foul soul

Her gold locks grew lovely and long
Locked in a looming situate, too little to discern
Rapunzel remained until a time of reprieve
Silvery sounds did a stunned prince hear
He was drawn to the dignified tower of stone

Love at first look, for she was lively and pure
Hiding with care, from a cackling crow-like figure
Searching, stretching, and seizing her voice, he heard the words
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, release your resplendence"
Glittering gold locks glided through air

The notion so new, he secretly locked into his soul's chamber
The following day dawned fresh and free-spirited
Repeating the witches words, he was granted the same way
She was fearful at first, but fell quite quick
In a matter of months the secret was sought

The witch took the beauty's treasure and snipped with vengeance
Casting her out to a place with no name
The stolen tresses were a trick for the love struck prince
Who fell into the thorns below, and found his sight strangled
Blind and bewildered, pushed into that place with no name

Meanwhile, to her astonishment the absence of abstinence
Rapunzel brought forth bifold babes, comforts to the new mama
Stumbling and searching was the state Rapunzel found her beloved
The four at once were reunited, relieved in high spirits
Within minutes the loving family revived the wretch's sight

The witch's workings had no affect
Their love strong, the situation amounted to beauty
In that place with no name, a cottage was constructed
This is the story of two steadfast lovers who became
The family of four who lived happy together thereafter
